New design for National Stadium Karachi revealed as renovations go under way

According to the new model, a new building will be constructed directly in front of the original building.

As the stadium is being renovated, a new layout for Karachi's National Stadium has emerged.

The stadium will undergo renovations in two stages, according to the model's proposal. The first will be completed prior to the 2025 Champions Trophy, and the second will happen following the ICC competition.

According to the updated model, a new building will be constructed directly in front of the original building. According to reports, the new facilities will include media boxes, VIP boxes, a gallery, and boxes for the players' families. It is also possible to move the two changing rooms to the new structure.

In addition, the stadium will be completely covered by a roof. The second stage of development will see the installation of the roof.

The National Stadium's scoreboard structure has been renovated thus far, and this includes the enclosures for Naseem-ul-Ghani and Iqbal Qasim.

Regarding the other locations throughout the nation that are in dire need of renovation, Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has given his approval for the Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi stadiums to be upgraded.

The three enormous venues will have their infrastructure upgraded with a total of Rs.12.80 billion from the cricket association.

The ICC Champions Trophy will be held in the Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, and the National Stadium in Karachi starting on February 19 of next year.
