How Raygun split the world and made it to the Olympics

 

Breaker Rachael Gunn, often known as Raygun, sent shockwaves through the little hip-hop community across the world when she abruptly left the Olympics in Paris.

A qualifying round for the Red Bull BC One World Finals is one of the most significant events of the year, and the previous week has been very significant.

A few others look uneasily at the few cameras that line the dancing circle, probably thinking of Gunn's viral photos that have gone viral online.

Australian hip-hop pioneer Spice told the BBC, "I feel like it's just pushed our scene in Australia into the Dark Ages."

The 36-year-old university lecturer Gunn lost all three of her Olympic contests in a way that went viral. Her green tracksuit and unconventional routine, which included jumping like a kangaroo and dodging sprinklers, sparked memes and online harassment.

The Australian breaking community has been upset and split by the aftermath.

"I believe that many of us are suffering because it made a mockery of the Australian scene," Spice claims.
